These units are well suited for a residential application where a buffer tank is utilized for hydronic distribution. They can reliably provide domestic hot water to be stored at 60C (as per CSA Code requirements) with a similar refresh to an electric tank with 4.5kW element. In addition, when the building is in cooling mode, the unit provides free chilled water while heating the domestic hot water!
